Brand world — Trivago (demonstration concept)
Travel, tried on
A traveller stands in front of the mirror in a lobby and is already on the beach. Ten destinations, one face, ninety seconds. The trip stops being a photograph of someone else and becomes a picture of them.
The concept
Destination media that starts with the guest
Travel is sold with images of strangers. The Trivago world inverts that: the guest is the image. They see themselves on the reef, on the ridge, on the deck — wardrobe, light and setting changed, face and expression untouched. Inspiration lands at the moment a decision is actually being made.
Desire, not description
A brochure describes a destination. The mirror casts the guest in it. The difference is the difference between reading about a place and standing in it.
Ten trips, one queue
Each world holds ten moments. Guests switch between them during a single session, so a family compares the ski week and the beach week in under two minutes.
The memory travels
The recording arrives by email after the session. The guest keeps a video of themselves somewhere they have not been yet — and shares it before they have booked.
The ten moments
From the reef to the ridge
Every moment is a complete set: scene, garment reference, prompt and ambient video, built in Manifest Studio and reviewed before it reaches a venue.

Alpine Ski — switching destinations mid-session
Switching
Three destinations before the coffee is cold
The phone becomes the remote. A guest pairs by QR code, then changes moment without touching the mirror or breaking the illusion — the transformation continues as a live video stream while the world around them changes.
- Pair by QR. The mirror shows a code; the phone opens the remote at qr.manifestmirror.com. No app, no account.
- Switch freely. Beach, ski, city — the guest moves through the ten moments in whatever order they like.
- Identity holds. Face, proportions and expression are preserved in every moment; only wardrobe, setting and lighting change.
Caribbean Beach — the recording that leaves with the guest
After the session
The souvenir arrives before the brochure would have
At the end of the session the guest enters an email address. The recording is assembled and delivered — a short video of them in the destination, theirs to keep and to send on.
- Consent first. Nothing is sent without the guest asking for it, and the AI notice is shown before the camera starts.
- Short retention. Recordings are automatically deleted after seven days, email deliveries after thirty.
- Shareable by design. The guest, not the brand, decides where the video goes next.
UI look
Concierge: quiet, warm, unhurried
This world ships with the Concierge look — soft type, generous spacing, a calm palette that belongs in a lobby rather than a showroom. Any of the nine looks can be applied per venue without rebuilding the world.
Tuned for waiting rooms
Lobbies, lounges and travel stores are places people pass through with time on their hands. The Concierge look invites rather than interrupts: attract mode runs silently, the call to action is a single line.
Per venue, not per world
Look, format and session length are set centrally in Manifest OS. A tourism board and an airport lounge can run the same ten destinations with a different face on the interface.
Operations across venuesThe session
Ninety seconds, start to souvenir
The narrative of a Trivago session, as it runs in a hotel lobby or a travel store.
- Attract
The mirror shows ambient destination footage. A passer-by sees movement, then sees themselves reflected in the frame.
- Pair
The guest scans the QR code or touches the screen, chooses a first destination and grants consent for the camera.
- Travel
Ninety seconds by default. The guest tries the beach, the ridge, the rooftop — switching from the phone, watching themselves in continuous video.
- Keep it
An email address, and the recording follows. The venue keeps an opt-in contact; the guest keeps the trip.

Where it belongs
Placed where the decision happens
The world is the same everywhere. The format and the mode change with the floor.
Hotel lobby
A 9:16 free-standing unit near check-in. Guests waiting for a room try the spa retreat and the rooftop pool — the property sells its own next stay.
Travel store
A window-facing portrait unit turns the shopfront into a queue. Staff use the recording as the opening of a conversation rather than a leaflet.
Airport and terminal
A 16:9 wall unit above the lounge counter, or a 1:1 counter unit at a tourism board stand. Short dwell, high footfall, one destination each.
Nobody books a photograph of a stranger. They book the version of the trip they can already see themselves in.
